We are a student at KGU. We introduce of my university. KGU is in kumamoto city. It is private college. It is the most famous private college in Kumamoto, and large school. At first KGU called of 'Oriental Language Technical College’ in 1942, afterward, it changed its name to K. Language Technical college in 1945. There was institution of the new K. Business Department University, and there was institution the college of commercial science in 1954. The college of commercial science which is in K. Business Department University built more the department of economics in 1962. There established the college of economics in 1967. K.G.U. became sister school with nine university of Montana in America, in 1987. Finally, there changed its name to 'K. Gakuen University', we know, in 1994.
There are about seven thousands people. We introduce about Subject. Commerce Section learns marketing, circulation, finance, and the transaction. Business Administration Section studies management and the business. Hospitality and the management subject study finance, insurance, circulation, the business, and hospitality. The economics department chiefly learns information. The international economy subject studies three national languages (English, Chinese, and Korean). The east Asian subject studies Korean and Chinese. English and American Section studies English and American Literature, English Language Education, and the cross cultural communication. The first social welfare subject studies social work and the nursing welfare. The welfare environmentology department studies the life, human rights, and the environment overall. The child family welfare subject thinks about the well-being at the child, parents, and home, and studies knowledge of a child care, an infantile education, and social welfare and practicing abilities.KGU has 4 faculties and 12 subjects. It is Department of Commercial Science, Department of Economics, Department of Foreign Language and Department of Social welfare.
By the way, we are a student of English and American Section of Department of Foreign Language. There are excellent professor in surroundings. Students can learn in the very good environment. we want to study hard for four years in this college. KGU has many classes which we know about the department of Britain and America. I, Rie, talk my things of it. I have fifteen classes in first term and I have thirteen classes in second term. My classes of first term; Psychology1, Reading3B, Communication theory of other culture1, Speaking3C, Theory of human rights, Introduction to linguistics1, Germany3A, Writing3B, Introduction to English literature, Introduction to the law of nations, Communication theory of other culture2, Writing1B, Tennis, International society and society of Japan, and Sociology, are busy because almost classes give me each homework. I am busy from these things on every weekday and every weekend, but I can’t turn in any my homework due to the fact that I am lazy. However there are many interesting classes; not only busy, and many good teachers. My favorite class is Germany because I like to study it as same as to study English. My interesting classes are so many, but best of it is Writing3B because my favorite teacher is Mr. Tomei. Herr Yagi is my favorite teacher too, because they are amusing and very kind.
There are graduate school and profession graduate school. Graduate school has four searching department; the searching department of commercial science, the searching department of economics, the searching department of internationals cultural, and the searching department of social welfare. The searching department of commercial science has two majors; the major of commercial science and the major of business administration. The searching department of economics has one major which called the major of economics. The searching department of internationals cultural has one major which called major of internationals cultural. The searching department of social welfare has two majors; the major of social welfare and the major of welfare's environment. Profession graduate school has one searching department; the searching department of accounting's professions, and one major; the major of accounting.
There are six group and so many clubs. The residents' association of morning and day students has six clubs. Physical training permanent committee has twenty nine clubs, for example baseball club, boys or girls’ basketball club and table tennis club. Culture standing committee has twenty two clubs, for example calligraphy club, literature club and English conversation searching club. Club Union has two clubs; visual art workshop and volunteer group 'Asunarou'. The residents' association of night students has two clubs; Mother Tortoise and night student's baseball club. Gakusyo congress has many clubs but we don't know all of them. We know it a little for example Cultural assets searching club and pupil's cultural searching club.
There are some facility for night and day students; student union, dormitory, induction facility at Nishigoushi, convenience store 'LAWSON' and so on. Nishigoushi’s induction facility can accommodate 110 guests, and there are more than ten activities plants, for example baseball ground, soccer court, tennis court and archery place.
We introduce facilities. KGU campus is very large. There are 14 buildings there. It takes time to move. There is a library. Library has about 800,000 books. The facility of this college is very full. For instance, the facilities of a library are very wonderful. It is a leading of library in West Japan. Quite a lot of collection of books is had, and proud of. A lot of students use this library for the test period.The personal computer can be used there. Various kinds of newspapers can be read. The first building has an English lounge. Everyone can speak with students from abroad. The seven building is School cafeteria. A lot of people go to there every day. We can eat near the bakery and the convenience store. The twelve building in book store. There is situated in the city so almost people come there by walk, by bicycle, by motor bike, by car, by bus or by train. There’s around has some private house, many buildings, many shops and many car passed by there. However, our university has much greenery in the site.
There is a attached high school about the university on the premises. When we see the high school students, we often remember our high school day. It is very fresh feelings.
Moreover, Kumamoto Gakuen University is a very happy school. We can enjoy many events besides study. The typical one is group activities. This university's group activity is very active. A lot of students belong to the club. We can make a lot of friends. And, we can get friendship with the senior and junior. I also belong to the club. We acts with the member of the club once a week. We enjoys doing variety activity. I feel youth very much!! We can absolutely enjoy the student life if we attends school to Kumamoto Gakuen University. I like this college so much!!
